R&D HUB
VESCO Group has its own proprietary R&D hub serving the Group’s partners all over the world.
The R&D hub is a key element of our innovation ecosystem, which ensures the development and improvement of ceramic raw materials. R&D forms the foundation for developing and testing new ceramic mix formulations tailored to partner requests and market requirements. The R&D hub team conducts systematic internal quality control, which helps maintain the stability of product characteristics at every stage of production.
A dedicated area of the hub’s work is the physical and chemical analysis of ceramic raw material samples from existing and potential deposits worldwide. This enables us to gain a deep understanding of material properties and utilize the highest quality resources to create competitive products.
In addition, the R&D hub coordinates exploration and drilling activities, overseeing the search, exploration, and evaluation of new mineral deposits. This integrated interaction ensures a holistic approach to strengthening the raw material base and driving innovation in production.
Activities of the R&D hub
Selection of optimal materials
At the request of customers, the VESCO R&D hub can analyze the chemical, mineralogical, and granulometric composition of clay, as well as its ceramic properties, including the construction of curves depicting the processes that occur when the sample is heated. This enables the determination of the optimal mass composition and firing modes for various ceramic products.
